Magnolia stellata - so many growing out here, and they are beautiful. Everyone I meet in Chicago keeps telling me how lucky I am to have come as soon as winter's passed. The people here are awakening and joyful to see Spring come in and it's fascinating to see how powerful that is. I'm awake right now because I of some thunderstorms that just began, and are supposed to go on for the rest of the day/my stay. Drat! Can't stay inside forever... Two days left and so much still to see!
