bronze casting, part 4
We lined up all our forms, made copious amounts of the gypsum/grog/walnut shell/etc. mixture and poured them into the forms. After they had set for about an hour, we loaded them in the kiln to be fired. Firing has a dual purpose - stabilizing the mold and melting out the wax!
