st. louis, mo

After Kansas City we went to St. Louis, where we went and saw the Gateway Arch, which was really sweet! We didn't go up it however, but instead watched all the people taking pictures and having general fun in the park. After walking around downtown and musing at one of the first skyscrapers designed by Louis Sullivan, we hung out in the sculpture park and chatted as kids laughed and screamed in the interactive fountains shooting water all throughout the afternoon. We met up with our Couchsurfing host and got some amazing Greek food, then went with the host and some of his friends to a bar/club and went crazy for a couple of hours. The whole night I was in touch with a good friend who goes to Wash U, and he amazingly suggested that he meet Max and I for breakfast the next day. So we met with Peter and his girlfriend at a place near the Wash U campus (which is BEAUTIFUL) and went to a place that only serves breakfast, ate and caught up then we got to Union Station to catch the bus to Chicago. St. Louis wasn't as exciting as KC, but I loved both places still!
